Condolences
Dear Nancy, Brandin, Carmen and Lauren,
I was so sad to hear about the passing of Peter, who was a very loving husband and father. He was the best math teacher Lisa and Jodi ever had. The girls send their condolences. Their thoughts are with you and the girls.
Death cannot separate hearts that knew true love. How fortunate you were to have shared each other’s lives.
My deepest sympathies.
Lynne Balla

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
Mr. Chivilo was my math teacher during my junior high years at F.P. Walshe in Fort Macleod. He was a very good teacher, and he will be missed by many.
Dear Nancy and family, Please accept my sincerest sympathies on the passing of your dear husband and father, Peter. I did not know him well but have fond memories of him — he was always smiling and so very kind. I know he fought a hard battle with Myeloma but he did it very bravely and quietly — he was never one to complain too much to others but was always supportive of others. He will be greatly missed at SAMM support group as he worked tirelessly for the cause even when he was not feeling well himself. Again, I am very sorry to hear this news and am deeply saddened.
My sincerest sympathies and prayers go out to all of you. Shirley Yewchuk, Myeloma warrior (Brooks, AB)
Dear Nancy and family,
I am writing this letter to express deep sorrow for your loss. Peter was my Phys Ed teacher in high school, F.P. Walsh during the late 70s early 80s. He was tough on some of us Hockey guys but we did learn a great deal from him, one particular fond memory I have of Peter was a school ice time we had at the Fort Macleod arena, a few of us where already on the ice, shooting pucks around. I let one go just as Peter came onto the ice behind the net, the puck went off the post and hit Peter, he chased me for about 10 minutes, in the end laughing about the event and thankfully neither of us where hurt.
Over the years meeting Peter and yourself in Lethbridge was always a treat for myself and my parents who often called to just say, guess who we had seen today. Mr. Chivilo, always taking me to many fond memories with him.
Civilization is a place where men rise and fall like the winter wheat. The dawn brings new rays every day yet there are some people who rise every day and bring to life, cherished memories, teachings, and faith that help us sail the journey of life.
May God Bless Peters Soul and complete all his wishes.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we are sharing the burden of this great grief.
Nancy, God bless you and your family.
With Sympathy
