Obituary of SCHMID – Hendrika ‘Henny’

August 23, 1944 – December 15, 2010 Hendrika (Henny) Schmid, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Rosedale Hospice after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Henny was born in Oudeschild Texel, Netherlands on August 23, 1944. She and her family immigrated to Canada in May 1958. Henny will be greatly missed by her husband Lawrence, daughters Belinda (Don, Jenna) and Sonya (Harry); the grandchildren, Shelby, Teghan and Grace, her sister Elisabeth (Gene), as well as her parents Maarten and Maartje Hoogesteger. Missing her also will be the extended family and many dear friends. When Henny made a friend it was friends for life.
