Obituary of PAGE –Solange

October 29, 1925 – December 12, 2010 Solange Page beloved wife of Brian, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Solange was born in St. Paul, AB and she lived in various parts of Canada prior to settling in Jasper, AB. Solange was educated in Edmonton and graduated from the Edmonton General Hospital in 1948, she nursed in Edmonton for several years. It was in Edmonton where she met and married Brian in 1951. Together with her husband they moved to many places, Edmonton, Toronto, Cold Lake, Germany, and Cold Lake where Brian retired. In 1973 they moved to Calgary where Solange worked as a beautician at Shoppers Drug Mart. In her retirement she enjoyed hobbies such as sewing and ceramics and enjoyed many years bowling with Brian, she became a master bowler here in Calgary winning numerous tournaments. Besides her loving husband Brian, she is also survived by her son Bob and his wife Linda of Calgary, daughter-in-law Gisele Vincent Page of Winnipeg, MB, son-in-law Mike Clarkson of Red Deer, AB.; grandchildren Travis (Angie), Jennifer, Michael (Tristin), Kristin, Justin, Joelle, Yves, Guy (Amber) and great grandchildren Logan and Tyler. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Helen Trudel. Solange was predeceased by her daughter Deborah and her son John. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery at a later date.
