During Mickey’s life she did many things. She worked for Mac’s Head office for five years, but longed for something that gave her meaning and used her strengths. She found that when she began her long, 22 years, of selfless work with Woods Homes and Alberta Social Services as a foster parent. This very quickly became her passion and she pursued it tirelessly. This was truly her life’s calling. She was precise and always put the best interest of all the children first and foremost. Mickey was a devout Catholic. She used her relationship with God in all her endeavours in her life’s work and especially with the foster children. Mickey would like most of all to be remembered for her tireless work, care and respect given to all of the foster children she has looked after over the years. She would like to see it continued so please, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to any children’s advocacy group or association. We would encourage you to take the time to do so.
