Obituary of TOWNSEND – Darren Bruce

January 10, 1960 – December 3, 2010 Darren Townsend passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, December 3, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Darren leaves behind to mourn him, his devoted wife Lisa and his two loving sons Jesse and Chase. He is also survived by his mother Daphne, his father George (Faye), siblings; Gary, Sandra, Heather, Kelly and Jeremy, his father-in-law Walter Baer, sister-in-law Debbie (Mike), brother-in-law Kevin (Kim), and nephews and nieces; Chris, Tommy, Josh, Lacie, Nicola, Noah, Trinity, Cody, Nicholas, and Madison. During his lifetime Darren created and operated two very successful businesses; Dag’s Upholstry and Alberta Fun Money Casino. He worked hard to support his family, but on a warm summers weekend you could always find him golfing with his boys, or bar-b-queing and playing horse shoes with his family and friends. Darren will be sadly missed by all. A Celebration of Darren’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
