My condolences to the Hensrud Family. AS a young fellow growing up and following the Estevan Bruins (1958-59) I remember Vaughan being our goaltender. At that time my Father (John) was the hockey club trainer.
I would like to express sincere sympathy to the family of the passing of Vaughan. He was a tough unique character that will be remembered for many reasons! God Bless him Dearly!
Although I did not know Vaughan personally, I did know him from my research on the Regina Pats Junior Hockey Team. Vaughan was a back-up goaltender during the 1956-57 and 1957-58 season.
We were deeply saddened to hear about Vaughan’s passing. He will definitely be missed by all that knew him. The picture in the Regina Leader Post captured Vaughan’s million dollar smile and the glint that he always had in his eye. We have many fond memories of Vaughan. Our sympathy goes out to you, Cathy, and the family.

So sorry to hear of Vaughn’s passing. We were High School friends and I always appreciated Vaughn’s sense of humor and his work ethic. My prayers are with his family today.
