Obituary of BROWNLEES – Kenneth Derek

July 6, 1935 – November 26, 2010 After a lengthy illness, Kenneth Derek Brownlees passed away at the Peter Lougheed Center on November 26, 2010 at the age 75 years. Born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, Derek immigrated to Canada with his young family in 1970 and called Calgary home ever since. He was tremendously proud of his children and grandchildren and got the most joy in life from sharing time with young people for whom he had endless patience, humour and kindness. Derek will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Rosemary, son Arnold (Lynette), daughter Carole and granddaughters Heather, Christina and Kennedy. He is also survived by his sisters Mavis (Bobby) Dickinson and Eleanor (Jim) Davis, brother in law, John Arnold, sister in law, Audrey (Tom) Neill and their families – all in Northern Ireland.
