Obituary of SHYMANSKY – Esther

June 3, 1925 – November 23, 2010 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Esther Shymansky on November 23, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Esther was born and raised in Calgary and lived here for 81 years. At 81 she moved to Lethbridge, AB to be near her daughter, Shirley. She worked as a cook in a nursing home for over twenty years and loved playing bingo and visiting friends. Everyone especially loved her smile and she was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Bowness, Calgary. Esther is survived by her daughter, Shirley Bernes of Lethbridge, and son, Ronald Shymansky (Janice) of Ottawa. She is also survived by her grandchildren Karen (Patrick) Crozier of Calgary, Kerry (Jennifer) Bernes of Lethbridge, Bradley Shymansky of Ottawa and her great-grandchildren Tessa, Jessica, Christine, Kimberly, and Maya, and her sister Kathleen. She was predeceased by her father and mother Philip Rausch and Mary Rausch. Also her brothers Johnny and Hank, and sisters Millie and Polly. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
