Condolences
To Rogers family
I was very saddened to hear of the loss of your father.
I went to school with your Dad. And if I remember correctly he went to Spruce Cliff Elimentary when he first arrived from Lebanon. I couldn’t believe how brave he was not knowing the language and being in this strange country.
We followed each other through Melville Scott Junior High, where he became my dancing partner. I was very tall, and not many guys wanted to dance with me, (I think I had your Dad by two inches). We continued on through Ernest Manning and then went on to have our own families. I bumped into him when he was managing a restaurant down on 8th street and 2nd Ave about 20 years ago and he immediately recognized me and gave me a big hug. I will remember him for his great laugh and genorousity. He will be missed by all.
Regards
Daphne Jenkins
