Obituary of CAUGHLIN – Joshua Josh Daniel
October 22, 1990 – November 23, 2010
Joshua “Josh” Daniel Caughlin of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the age of 20 years.
Josh was a very gifted and passionate athlete who played hockey for the Midnapore Hockey Association for eleven years, played basketball and was a member on the wrestling team at Father Whelihan and proudly played football for Bishop O’Bryne. His latest endeavours included returning to school and martial arts to begin his quest for the UFC and talked about becoming a firefighter. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten, as he left a footprint on the hearts of all who knew him through his sense of humour, kind heart and radiant smile. The overwhelming outpour of respect and love from his community reflects the man Josh was and brings consoling comfort and pride to his family.
Josh is survived by his mom and friend Kathy Caughlin; loving brother Shawn; his uncles and aunts, Danny and Tammy Caughlin of Calgary, Matt and Lou Schwemler, Mike and Maribeth Caughlin all of Sarnia, ON; and many cousins. Josh was predeceased by his father Norm (1992); grandparents, Barbara and Joseph Caughlin of Sarnia; and his Aunt Karen.
Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Special thanks to Todd Smith, to his amazing Midnapore buddies and his family at Centex.
