Obituary of ELLIOTT – James Jim

January 10, 1924 – November 18, 2010 James “Jim” Elliott of De Winton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Jim was born in Guelph, ON. He served in the 4th AA Regiment, 3rd Division, 100th Battery, 9th Brigade of the Canadian Army during WWII. Jim met Mary Hurst in Guelph, ON and they were happily married for forty-nine years. Jim is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sue Elliott of Calgary; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Terry Coles of DeWinton; five grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer) Elliott, Jayme (Korby) Legat, Nathan (Azra) Coles, Jason (Joie) Coles and Gregory Coles (Mara Pope); and eight wonderful great-grandchildren. Jim was predeceased his wife Mary in 1995, his parents and four siblings. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.
