Obituary of BRAILSFORD – Edward Frank

March 27, 1933 – November 17, 2010 It is with sadness that the family of Edward (Ted) Brailsford announce his passing on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the age of 77 years after a 14-year battle with cancer. Ted was born on March 27, 1933 in Taber, AB to parents Frank and Pauline Brailsford. Initially he was a member of 403 Reserve Squadron, later to spend his career with Canadian Pacific Airlines and Canadian Airlines for thirty-one years, reflecting his passion for aircraft. He was an active member of the Alberta Mustangs Auto Club for over thirty years, serving as Treasurer for twenty-five years. Since his diagnosis he was also active in the Calgary Prostate Cancer Support Group, the “Warriors”. After retirement, he enjoyed golf, jazz and military history. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Angela; daughter Karen Brailsford; son Darryl (Lori) Brailsford; and granddaughters Kimberly and Jennifer. He is also survived by his brother Dr. Eugene (Bev) Brailsford and family of Fergus, ON; aunt Ruth Sprangers of Calgary; cousins, Dean Bowman of Calgary, Janice Manchur and family of Victoria, BC; and uncle Donald Bowman of St. Albert.
