Obituary of PURDY – Diane Margaret

November 20, 1953 – November 11, 2010 Diane Purdy, beloved wife of Blair of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the age of 56 years, surrounded by her loving family. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook, but above all Diane’s greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She will be greatly missed. In the end, she approached her illness as she did her life – with courage, grace and humour. Diane was an inspiration to all. Besides her devoted husband Blair, Diane is survived by daughters, Amber (Mike) Franco, Jade Purdy (Gareth Sloan); grandchildren, Mary-Clare, Tierna and Caius; sisters, Vivien Roman, Hollis (Lorne) Gogal, Janis (Clayton) Maleski; brothers, Doug (Jan) Woods and Leslie Woods (Reene); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Ialeen Woods; brothers, Gerry Field and Donald Woods; and sister Linda Pfiefer.
