Obituary of WOOD – Frances Evelyn

1908 –2010 Frances Wood passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2010 at the age of 102 years. Frances was a prominent realtor in the 1950’s and 1960’s and a business person for most of her adult life. Frances is survived by her sister Catherine Dean, her son Thomas (Frances) Wood, her grandchildren, Debra (Glenn) McClure, Thomas Dyer Wood, and Angela (Leslie) Hofmeister. Her great grandchildren include, Angela (Kevin) O’Donoghue, Andrea (Gilles) Brassart, Thomas James Wood, Caitlin Wood, Thomas Forsyth, Riley Baldwin, and Lee Hofmeister. Frances also enjoyed three great, great grandchildren, Emily O’Donoghue, Kailey O’ Donoghue, and Lola Brassart. Her nieces who were always there for her are Jeanne Coughlin, Emma McElgunn and Donna Chinook, as well as many great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Edward Wood in 1972 and her siblings Bill Dyer, Merle Coughlin, Eddie Dyer, Lloyd Dyer and Marie McElgunn. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 219 – 18 Avenue S.W. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
