Obituary of WEBSTER – Bruce Greenwood

October 6, 1922 – November 6, 2010 Bruce Greenwood Webster, beloved husband of Alberta Webster of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Bruce was born in Calgary on October 6, 1922 and attended Crescent Heights High School. Upon completion of high school Bruce worked for Wilson Electric until the outbreak of World War 2 where he served for 5 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. At the end of the war he worked at various companies until he joined Dominion Oilfield Supplies as the office and credit manager where he was for 32 years until retirement in 1984. In retirement Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, gardening, travelling and was an active member of the RCNA. Bruce is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alberta (nee Rogers), daughters Bev (Al Keeler), Judy (Peter Crosby); grandsons Matt Cadman, Ben (Aja) Cadman, Nathan (Lisa) Crosby, Andrew Crosby; great grand children Ethan, Abby and Brooklyn; brother George (Betty) Webster and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Percy (Annie) Webster; brother Jack (Audrey) Webster. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday November 12, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Unit 73 at Rockyview Hospital for all the care and compassion.
