Obituary of HUNSPERGER – Jason Bernard

December 1, 1978 – November 5, 2010 It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Jason Bernard Hunsperger on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the age of 31 years. Born and raised in Calgary, Jason arrived kicking and screaming two months early at the whopping weight of 4 lbs 11 1/4 oz. He was an amazing young man with a generous heart, fiery temper and passionate work ethic. Jason was extremely loyal to his family and friends and would do anything for anybody. In his younger years, Jason enjoyed swimming with the U of C swim team and hiding at “Mikey’s” after trying to roast his Mom while she slept. Jason was a roofer by trade but could and would do any job asked of him. His pride of workmanship will always live on with Grandma’s siding and his mom and dad’s roof. Jason loved animals and enjoyed playing the guitar. “Fly high, soar proudly, You’ve earned your wings, J.” Jason is survived by his loving mother Cheryl; stepfather Doug; siblings, Jennifer and Brandon; his special “father” Mike; grandparents, Elaine, Barney & Fran, Wilf & Sharel; aunts Debbie (Wilbur) and Dayle (Brett); uncles Gord and Jeff; and numerous cousins and special companion Christina. Jason was predeceased by his grandpa “Pops” Westmacott; great grandparents, Nyle and “Owlie” (Nellie) Hunsperger; great aunts Niecey and Beatrice; and great uncle Gary.
