Obituary of BAKER – Bradley Jason

May 24, 1954 – November 5, 2010 Brad Baker, beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Dylan, was tragically taken from us on Friday, November 5, 2010. Brad is also survived by his parents, Gilbert and Sheila, and his brother, Garney, and he will be sorely missed by his extended family: Shirley Davidson; Ann Davidson; May and Rick Perizzolo; and Charlie and Shauna Davidson. In addition, he will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in Willows, California, Brad moved to Calgary with his family in 1968. He attended the University of Calgary, taught school with the Calgary Board of Education, and became a successful financial entrepreneur. Brad’s love of life and zest for adventure were evident in the many activities he pursued: sailing, skiing, scuba diving, hiking, backpacking, climbing, surfing, rodeo, photography, to name only a few. Above all else, his true passion was his family and the precious time they shared. He made time for everyone who needed him. Brad was a pillar of strength, a man of integrity and unprecedented morals and values, with the burning desire to ensure that everyone he touched received nothing but the very best of his essence. Although Brad’s work here is done, our lives are richer for his presence, and we will forever feel the void. He will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (703 Heritage Drive S.W.) on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brad may be made to the Calgary Poppy Fund at #1, 4539 – 6th St. N.E. T2E 3Z6. In living memory of Brad, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Crowfoot Chapel, 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W. Telephone: (403) 241-0044.
