Obituary of BLAIR – Alexander Anderson

December 31, 1927 – November 3, 2010 Alexander (Alec) Blair, beloved husband of Reta Blair of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Alec was born in Penicuik, Scotland and immigrated to Southern Rhodesia in 1951 to join the British South Africa Police where he served for twenty-five years. He retired in 1975 as Senior Assistant Commissioner. Alec and Reta then immigrated to Calgary from Zimbabwe in 2007. Besides his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Alec is survived by two daughters and son-in-law Lindsay and Duncan Scoular of Calgary, Lesley and Michael Bredenkamp of Zimbabwe; three grandchildren Iain Scoular, Alexandra Scoular, Ross Bredenkamp.
