Obituary of NAGY – Graham

July 13, 1947 – November 1, 2010 BORN July 13, 1947, Cudworth, Saskatchewan Graham passed away November 1, 2010, in Calgary Alberta Graham was born the 3rd child of Michael & Johanna Nagy. His formative years were spent in Wakaw, Saskatchewan , where he grew up with his inseparable brother, James and spent many hours working with his dad and brother on the family farm. After graduation Graham was self- motivated and set out on his own to Saskatoon where he began his material’s testing career, subsequently receiving his Civil Engineering Technology accreditation. He worked in this area for four decades and formed his company GLN Technical Services Ltd. Throughout his career he worked primarily in the petroleum industry in a variety of locations: Saskatchewan, Northern Alberta, the Arctic and Kuwait . The last number of years Graham was involved in geo technical project auditing. He was well respected in his field. Graham was married in the early 1980’s and was predeceased by his first wife, Dawna. In 1997, Graham married his soul mate Linda. Graham, the gadget man, had a variety of collecting passions including wrist and pocket watches, cameras, short wave radios and automobiles. On his life’s journey, his caring, nurturing & loving nature has left a lasting impression on acquaintances, co-workers, friends and family – a proud and loyal friend to all. Graham was predeceased by his father, Michael, his mother Johanna, his first wife Dawna, his father in law Robert, and his brother in law Hans Graham is survived by his cherished wife Linda, her daughter Kyrsten (Glen Adams) and daughters Allison and Cassandra, his sisters Joan (Herb Gaertner) and Carolyn (Joe Watt), his brothers James and Adrian (Cathy Moxley), in laws Murray Anderson, Mary Lou Erik and Jim (Debra) Anderson as well as nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. You may forward condolences through .
