Dear Mr and Mrs Benedict and family,

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I live next door to Mike, and although I didn’t know him well, we would joke about all the work he was doing in his backyard. Mike was always busy working on something and he always did a wonderful job at whatever task he was working on. I will miss seeing him outside bright and early every weekend. He was a very kind and considerate neighbor and always offered to help others on our street. My sincere condolences. May God give you strength to get through this difficult time.

Marian, Dean and Jessica. I can think of no words that would convey how deeply sorry I am about Michael’s passing. I can’t begin to understand or imagine the depth this loss will have on his loved ones. Take care of each other, make time to cry and if at all possible smile when you remember him.
