Obituary of ELFNER- Ellen Albina

ELFNER – Ellen Albina February 24, 1925 – October 19, 2010 Ellen Elfner passed away on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Ellen, the oldest of 10 children, was born in Mikalkun, Poland on February 24, 1925, and immigrated to Seba Beach, AB in 1930 with her father, mother and sister. She and Lloyd married August 17, 1945, and had fifty four wonderful years together before his passing on January 6, 2000. Ellen was a long time Calgarian, residing there for most of her married life and beyond. She and Lloyd most enjoyed their time with family and were avid campers. In retirement, they enjoyed their many travels including annual extended visits to Hawaii and many cruises, with two around the world. Ellen was a Charter Member and long time Parishioner of Westminster United Church. Ellen will be sadly missed by her three children Janice (Geoff) Vachon, Donna (Brian) Wright, and Paul (Susan) Elfner, her seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Ellen is also survived by one brother and five sisters. At Ellen’s request, a small family service was held on October 22, 2010.
