Obituary of POOR EAGLE – George Amos

December 5, 1935 – October 19, 2010 George Amos Poor Eagle, beloved husband of 52 years to Rosemary, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Amos was born at the Blackfoot Indian Hospital and attended Crowfoot Residential school. He was a Jack of All Trades and worked off the reserve for a number of years to provide for the family. He had a great sense of humour, and was very out going, his passion was family and horses. Amos will be dearly missed by his wife Rosemary, his children; Carlene (Murray), Jackie, Lynne (Lonnie), his grandchildren; Andy, Heidi, Kristin, Sky, Justin, Jordy, Hilary, Whitney, Dustin, Andrew, Natasha, Tyler, Keenan, Byron, and Kyle, his great grand children; Hayden, Tiana, Addison, Haylee, Maisy, Jade, Paige, Shadessa, and Carlin; brothers Walter (Connie), Clement, Douglas (Beverly) and sisters Betty (William) and Joan (Lawrence); he is also survived by many extended family members. Amos was predeceased by his son Jordon, grand daughter Tracy, his parents Beatrice and Joe Poor Eagle, his brothers Ross and Julius and his sister Margaret. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB.) on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Crowfoot Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
