Obituary of SMITH –Barry

January 16, 1946 – October 18, 2010 Barry Smith, beloved husband of Karen of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 at the age of 64 years. Barry was a real trooper and made every minute of his last six years count. He kept his sense of humour while dealing with his cancer, especially in the last month. Besides his compassionate wife of thirty-three years Karen, Barry will be lovingly remembered by a wealth of family: brother Wayne (Brenda); nieces and nephews, Brett (Lisa), Jason (Blake), Leah, Greg (Bob), Tara (Kegan), Tim (Liz), Pat (Bonita), Chris (Kara), Meghan (Rodney); Kevin (Shelby), Steven and Benten; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Gerry), Barb (Paul), Betty (Tony), and Deb; brother-in-law Brian (Meghan); and father-in-law John Boychuk. A Celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion (9202 Horton Road S.W. Calgary) on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Barry’s wish was for everyone to wear boots, jeans and anything green. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
