Obituary of MCPIKE – Dorothy Margaret

July 17, 1920 – October 17, 2010 Peggy McPike passed away peacefully at the Bethany Airdrie on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Peggy is lovingly remembered by her husband of seventy years, Fred. Peggy leaves for awhile her loving family, son Rod (Wendy); grandchildren and great grandchildren Tim, Carla, Juliana, Jacob, Nicky, Sam, Wendy, Rosie, Tessie and Katie; special grandson and family Max, Tina and Kwame, Andy and Loreta, all in Alberta, David, Theresa, Isaac, Nathaniel and baby to be born in February in Ottawa, and Cathy and Dragan in the Netherlands. Peggy is also survived by dear family in BC and Australia. Peggy was predeceased by their infant son, her parents George and Phoebe, step-father Bill, her sister Veronica, her cousin Judith and Fred’s parents Charles and Maud Peggy and Fred were married in St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Blackpool, England on October 5, 1940. Together they had an adventurous life, immigrating to Canada in midlife to follow their son Rod. Peggy had a great love for ballet and had many happy memories. Peggy and Fred lived at the wonderful Bethany Centre in Airdrie for the past year, where they received the best care and support in the world. The family is so very grateful for every single member of the outstanding staff, under the management of Randy Bourassa. You are all so precious to us. We are forever grateful for We Care Agency, especially Sandy and dear Simone and Jim.
