Obituary of THREE SUNS – Tanelle Leah

Piitohpikiyaki – Eagle Rib Woman June 16, 1985 – October 14, 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend, Tanelle on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 25 years. Tanelle Leah Three Suns was born on June 16, 1985 to her loving parents, the late Albertine Three Suns and Rex Backfat. Growing up Tanelle was raised by Aunt Joyce and also her grandparents Pius and Margaret Three Suns. Tanelle was a very kind hearted woman who always put others before her as taught to her by Grandma Margaret. She was a beautiful woman with a smile that can light up the room and a laugh you can hear a mile away. Tanelle loved, treasured, and cherished her daughters with a passion and would do anything she could for them. Tanelle leaves to mourn her: dear grandfather Pius; her precious daughters, whom she cherished, Kadence and Taniah; her siblings, Tanya (Lenny) Eagletail, Allyssa (Mory) Three Suns and Jeffrey (JR) Water Chief and Marie Backfat; nephews Eisley, Tyreese and Arthur IV; one niece Traelynn; godson Byron and special friend Bobby Bird. Tanelle is survived by her loving aunts and uncles, Emma (Harold), Priscilla, Frank, Stanford (Karen), Michael (Joanne), Joyce, Alvin, Stanley (April) and Dean Three Suns and great-aunts Emily and Clarence Red Crow and Myrtle Black Rider. The extended families, Three Suns, Water Chief, Wolf Childs, Running Rabbit, McMaster, Duck Chief, Ayoungman, Good Eagle, Wrights, Red Crow, Black Rider, Yellow Horse, Weasel Head, Pretty Young Man, Little Chief, Bear Chief, Sleigh, Many Shots, Poor Eagle, Hairy Bull, Rosie Day Rider, Eagle Speaker, Bastien, Little Plume, Stimson, Heavy Shield, Axe, Crowfoot, Right Hand, Louise English and family, Ruby Doore and family and the Robertson family. Tanelle was predeceased by her dear mother Albertine and grandmother Margaret, great-grandma Mary Jane Three Suns, uncles Henry and Donnie, cousins Jeffrey, Aaron and Sheldon. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Pius Three Suns (503 East Siksika) on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Siksika Nation, AB) on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Little Chicago Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
