Obituary of YOUNG – Kenneth Roy

October 10, 1926 – October 10, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Roy Young on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the age of 84, at the Foothills Hospital. Ken is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty years, Marion; and his daughters, Donna (Ralph) Marshall of Calgary and Barbara (Joe) Shaw of Virginia. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Bryce Kelley, Leanne Kelley, Matthew Marshall, Amanda Shaw and Megan Shaw. Ken also leaves behind his brother Bill (Lorraine) Young; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Bob) Burnham, Evelyn (the late Jack Cleghorn), Ken (Donna) Brydon, and Ruth (Bill) Vandenberg. Ken was born and raised in the Guelph area where he worked up until his retirement in 1989. Ken and Marion chose to retire in Calgary, where they enjoyed square dancing, travelling, and the company of many new friends. Ken lived his life with honour, dignity and was respectful and kind to everyone he met. Of course everyone will remember him for his gentle sense of humour.
