Obituary of BEKAR – Vivian Ramona

June 9, 1934 – October 7, 2010 Vivian Ramona Bekar of Calgary, passed away at the Agapé Hospice on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Vivian was born in Ponoka, Alberta and was raised in Calgary. Vivian obtained her hairdressing certificate in Calgary where she met Clement and they were married in 1951. In 1963, they moved to Yellowknife, N.W.T. where they spent thirty happy years. In addition to being a mother and wife, Vivian was a successful business woman and was active in community events. Vivian is survived by her two sons, Bud and Clifford; grandson Bryce and his wife Heather and their two daughters, Haley and Jannessa, and grandsons, Khristian and Michael; as well as by her sister Bea; and brother Ken. Vivian was predeceased by her husband Clement; parents, Mildred and Carl; sisters, Olive and Audrey; brother Howard; and grandson Blair. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow in Creston, BC at a later date.
