Obituary of MCLACHLAN – Allan

May 18, 1928 – October 7, 2010 Allan McLachlan passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Allan was born in Dumbarton, Scotland and emigrated from there to Toronto, ON in 1953. After a couple of years he and his “Brickie” buddies moved to Calgary where he met and married his beloved Elma, and they shared fifty two years of togetherness. Allan was the proud Dad of Gail (Alex) Bordeniuk and Sandy (Jim) Vanderveen, and in due course, the treasured Papa of Devon V. in 1993 and Kira B in 1998. Besides Elma, Allan is survived by sisters Mamie Ayre and Margaret McLachlan, sisters-in-law Sylvia (John) Schmidt and Carole Reddekopp and their families as well as the family of his predeceased sister, Peggy Chalmers.
