…by the way “behlaf” is an East Indian word meaning “use the spellchecker before sending!” Thank you on BEHALF of the family.
Dear Tina and family.we are so sorry to hear of the passing of such a dear old friend. It was just a few days ago that we were remembering Suri with laughter and joy. We shared good and bad times with him but it is the laughter that we will remember most of all especially his story of his toupe flying off in the wind while boating with the guys. He loved his family so much. Our Sympathy to all. Patti and Denis Beaudry
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this difficult time. Hurry call Suri made many, many friends during his Real Estate career, and always had a smile and a laugh for all. We will all miss him.
Very early in my Real estate career, some 30 yrs ago, I was fortunate to meet Suri. Suri’s kindness & honesty to both his clients and fellow Realtors, served as a role model for many. “Hurry call Suri” served as more than a creative self promotion. Those in the industry who knew him, were happy to “hurry” to show his listings and to work with him to close a transaction that made every one happy.
Suri, I will not say goodbye, only that I will keep an eye open for your next listing, and thank you for being. To your family I wish comfort, from the knowledge that you have been such a positive influence on so many. Until we meet again. Derek DuBoyce
I am so sorry that I didn’t learn of Suri’s passing until today. He had a wonderful zest and joy for life and was always so much fun to be around. My ex-wife and I were Suri’s first customers when he got in to the real estate business. Our initial offer on a listing in Oakridge was so bad that the seller who was a large man and weighed about 280 lbs upon being presented with the offer by Suri ripped up the contract and threw it back in Suri’s face. Suri returned to us in a very shaken condition but as usual with his charm, skill and persistence he closed his first sale. These were personality traits he carried with him throughout his life. We always remember Suri and his “sexy brown broad” as he affectionately called Tina. We are so sorry to hear of Suri’s passing and send along our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family

I worked with Suri In real estate for many years & it was always a pleasure to hear his voice. His slogan “Hurry Call Suri” was well known through the industry. I am proud to say I worked with & knew Suri on a pleasure basis. Our condolences go to the entire family. Arnold & Maureen Thompson

I don’t remember ever meeting Suri but definately remember speaking to him periodically on the phone.
His advice was always much appreciated.
He was a much respected member of the real estate community.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Suri’s passing. He was a wonderful man who’s warm smile was a daily welcome at our office. A true professional who brought honour to his work and family. My prayers go out to all his friends and family.
I remember early in my real estate career losing a listing to Suri. Suri called my up and said he saw and liked my presentation, but he had “won” the listing. I said well Suri, at least now I am losing to a higher caliber of realtor” He always had the ability to make people smile. He will be missed.
What a wonderful man. So positive and upbeat. I was always amazed at how he was able to keep that attitude during the difficult times in the real estate business. It was a rare quality and it helped keep my attitude where it should be. I’m sure your family is proud of the kind of man Suri was.
Suri was a wonderful man. I would go out of my way to see and talk to him when he had a property he was marketing. I often think of him and his love for life and others. God bless his family and may He comfort you as Suri will be such a large loss in your lives.

Suri was like a ray of sunshine and a positive influence to all of us who arrived to settle in Canada from East Africa in the early 70’s with our young families.
He will be sorely missed and remembered for his zest for life, his humour and his integrity as a professional. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Ameen.
Tina, I was sad to hear about Suri’s passing. I just wanted you to know that I have always remembered his laughter and smiling face – a positive role model that i carry throughout my days. He was always able to make a quiet group of people feel comfortable and enjoy their life more. I can remember gathering with other community families out in the freezing park while he was organizing the group for caroling – or the many times that he cheered the crowd on at the annual pancake breakfasts. And the pride that he shared with us when he worked out the plans for our flag poles at the community center. Suri was a big part of wherever he was. I’m glad that I had a chance to be in a small part of his life.
Tina – surround yourself with family and all of the great memories. Hugs to you.

Dear Aneesa and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Your father was a pillar in our community and his legacy will continue to live on through your commitment to friends, family and community. He sounded like an amazing man who had a great sense of humor, love and compassion. They say it is not the years in your life but the life in your years and it sounded like your dad lived his life to the fullest.
Much love,
Anne Daniel
