Obituary of GREGORY – Dorothy

July 4, 1920 – October 5, 2010 We are saddened to announce that Dorothy Cecilia Gregory passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the age of 90 years in Calgary. Mom is lovingly remembered by her two children, Donna (Stan) Baldwinson of Calgary and Bruce (Patricia) Gregory of Winnipeg; and her three grandchildren, Stefan Baldwinson, Eric Baldwinson and Lisa Gregory. She is also survived by her sister Winnie; brother Harry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her long-time companion Peter Shymko; her parents John and Mae Bennett; her first husband Donald Gregory; her brothers, Ernie and Tom; and her sisters, Lily, Joan and Ivy. Mom spent her working life at the Credit Union system in Manitoba and the Hudson’s Bay Company in Winnipeg. After retirement in 1985, Mom enjoyed travelling, golfing, and her many friends at the Rossmere Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg. Mom moved to Calgary in 2005. Her friends will no doubt remember Dorothy for the great pride she showed for her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Mom’s Life will be held in Winnipeg at a later date to be announced.
