Obituary of HOLDEN- Daniel Grant

HOLDEN – Daniel Grant September 9, 1941 – October 3, 2010 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Holden on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Danny will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He leaves behind three children, James (Shizu), Pam Leizeirt (Mike) and Geordie (Noa), their mother Anne Buckley, five grandchildren Saya, Ami, Breanna, Alec and Ashley; two sisters Linda Jess (Cameron), Janet Holden and their families. He also leaves behind Colleayn Mastin her children John, Kelly, Michelle Heather-Faye, Blair and twenty one grand children. Danny was born and raised in Calgary, graduating from Viscount Bennett High School and from Drafting & Construction business in Calgary, building homes and light commercial projects such as Heritage Park and Calaway Park, in which he took great pride. Danny loved the outdoors. Some of his favourite activities were skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, marine life, travel, flowers, tending his garden and butterflies. Danny leaves his children with many fond memories of their family life in Calgary, their cabin at Shuswap Lake and vacations in Hawaii. After his divorce Danny met Colleayn Matsin. While living in Kamloops they were involved with several Tim Hortons and enjoyed many memorable travels worldwide. Over the last several years Danny kept occupied with Calgary Real Estate, active membership in Chinook Rotary Club and Twin Rivers Toastmasters. Danny’s wish was to come back as a butterfly.
