Condolences
For the family of Magne Housken, I offer my condolences, albeit very late. I am unsure if your Magne was the Magne Housken who joined a small group of young men who enrolled in the Royal Canadian Navy September 1962, of whom I am one. I have no intention of intruding, but I am curious as we have not heard anything of our class mate since 1963. I leave it up to you if there is a link and if you choose to reply.
Sincerely,
Tim Kemp,
Venture, Class of 63(ll)

Although we are unable to be with you during this trying time, know that our hearts and love are with you all. Mag, as the older brother, was always the protective one for Lisa, Andy and I as we grew up in a new country. He and I shared some great school basketball games.
May you find peace and happiness in your memories.
Love
Ruth and Einar
Our deepest condolences. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
Scott and Lisa
Dear Sandra,
Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Sandra although we never want to see our spouses leave us, Mag will always be with you, in your thoughts & heart.

Victoria and family, I send my deepest condolences to all of you. Mag was a special person who touched many peoples lives. Mag and Sandy welcomed my son and I into their lives many years ago. Mag would take my son with him on many of his ventures including the setting up of festival of the lights (A memory that has stuck with my son for 10 years). I will miss Mags words of wisdom and I take comfort in all of the great memories that I feel truly blessed to have been a part of. It saddens me that Drake and I won’t be able to make it to his Memorial on Tuesday but you are all in our thoughts and in our hearts.
Alexis & Drake
What a fountain of knowledge Mag was. He always had very interesting views on things and was always there to lend a hand. If your children are an extension of you, then Mag has nothing to worry about. I will hold the family in my prayers.
Sandy, Victoria, Amanda:
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend Mag.
I am so sorry I will not be able to get back to Calgary for the service but hope to visit with you soon.

I am surprised and sorry to hear of Mag’s passing.
I have known him for years through his work in Calgary Presbytery of the United Church.
He was a very likeable guy, honest and straight-forward, you knew where he stood, and he was good-humoured about it while feeling deeply about issues. He was good to talk to about political issues, especially.
He turned up in odd places. One time I ran into him at the passport office in Midnapore. That day, particularly, it was great to see a friendly face.
I will remember Mag and be glad that I knew him.
May God be with you.
Clint.
I knew Mag from the Immigration and Refugee Board, Refugee Protection Division office in Calgary where I would occasionally conduct hearings. Mag was a friendly and tolerant man, genuinely concerned to helping the immigrant clientele. I also know him to be Victoria’s father and I know she cared for him very much.
My condolences over his premature death.
