Dear Joanne

I only heard yesterday of John’s death from my mother in Ottawa…. I am absolutely speechless and at a total loss for what to say. I am truly sorry that years and distance have separated us and that we have lost touch, but the young man with whom I grew up next door, cared for deeply and always trusted as a valued friend will for ever remain fresh. My thoughts and prayers for you and the family are sincere. God bless.
