Obituary of PETTIFER – Rhoda Sylvia

September 12, 1928 – September 28, 2010 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Sylvia Pettifer. She died peacefully in her sleep on September 28, 2010. Sylvia was born September 12, 1928 in Rugby, England. Besides her husband of sixty years Reginald, Sylvia is survived and will be lovingly remembered by daughter Christine (Terry) Churchill, son Darren (Laurie) Pettifer, granddaughter Sharon (Darren) Wagner, grandsons Stephen Churchill, Matthew and Jack Pettifer; and great-grandsons Tyler and Dillon Wagner. She is also survived by two brothers Stanley and Dennis Tranter and numerous nieces and nephews in the UK. We know Mam (Nan, Nanny, Nana) will be with all those that predeceased her, enjoying a great chat over a nice cup of tea. Sylvia will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her generous ways, love and kindness and her incredible sense of humour. A Celebration of Sylvia’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
