Obituary of BERNATCHEZ – August

February 4, 1931 – September 27, 2010 August Bernatchez of Calgary passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the age of 79 years. August was the eldest of thirteen children born to Omer and Alice Bernatchez and was raised on the family farm near Zenon Park, SK. After marrying Ada Jones of Clashmore SK, the couple moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta in the late 1950’s to raise a family in Calgary. A man of many talents, August enjoyed careers in a number of fields including accounting, transport trucking, and was involved in real estate for most of his working life. He is also survived by his much loved sisters and brothers Rita (Charlie) Freeman, Rollande Jones, Angeline Jones, Cecile (George) Walker, Peter (Marguerite) Bernatchez, Robert Bernatchez, Theresa (Conrad) Aden and Denise Nowoselski.
