Obituary of BIRNIE – Lloyd George

December 12, 1917 – September 26, 2010 Lloyd, beloved husband of Doris of Calgary, passed away on September 26 2010 at the age of 92 years. Lloyd was born December 12, 1917 in Craigville, ON. He was a firefighter with the D.N.D. Lloyd joined the Army Signal Corps in January, 1942 and was posted overseas in December, 1942, and then discharged January, 1946. On July 3, 1956 he married Doris Elsie Coutts. One of his greatest achievements was becoming a Christian, he was baptized in 1930 and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Lloyd and Doris spent several winters in Southern California and Arizona Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Doris, and his son Fred (Marion) and their family. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Annie Birnie; his siblings Ivan, Vickert, Barbara, Ronald and his daughter Barbara Helene A Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 2:00p.m. Forward condolences through .
