Obituary of HERMAN Cliff A.

November 24, 1927 – September 22, 2010 Cliff beloved husband of Christine of Calgary, passed away on September 22, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Cliff was born in Kulm, North Dakota. He joined the Navy when he was seventeen years old in 1945, where he was a Yeoman (First class). Upon his return he attended the University of North Dakota. He obtained his Bachelor of Education in 1951 and his Masters Degree in 1957. He enjoyed a successful teaching career and rose to the level of School Superintendent. Ultimately, his career transitioned to World Book where his strong work ethic facilitated his rise to International Sales Manager. He was extremely proud of his fifty year association with the Grand Lodge of North Dakota Masonic Fraternity where he was a past Master and past High Priest. Cliff was honoured with numerous awards during his lifetime, including an Outstanding Educator award, Manager of the Year multiple times and Man of Achievement. His biography has appeared in “Who’s Who in the Midwest” and he was widely recognized and honoured by many organizations. Cliff was loved greatly and will be missed tremendously. Cliff is survived by his loving wife Christine; three step children, Stephanie, Shona and Michael; three grandchildren; sister Vera (Keith) Bowersox of Omaha, NE and brother Ray (Lola) Herman of Minneapolis, MN.
