Obituary of FALK – Gordon James

February 18, 1938 – September 21, 2010 Gordon James Falk, A.K.A. “Daddy-O” passed away peacefully with family at his side on September 21, 2010 at the age of 72. He fought one tough battle with cancer and won but fatigue took him instead. Left to honor his memory are his lovely wife of forty-four years Dolores; and his three children, daughter Coralee (Rod), daughter Brenda (Mike) and son Jason (Connie); as well as his grandchildren, Chanda, Brandy, Jaxon, Brittany, Kylie, Courtney, Riley, and Jake. Gord was born and raised in Swift Current, SK. While working as a truck driver, he met his bride at a truck stop in Whitewood, SK. They were married in Edmonton, AB and then settled in Whitewood, SK to start their family. They moved to BC for four years and decided to plant their roots in Airdrie, where they lived for twenty-five years. Gord retired from Supply-Rite Transport in 2002 and returned to Whitewood where he thoroughly enjoyed his farm: trimming trees and working around the neighborhood. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Attending Sunday church services was his passion. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Mary Falk as well as his brothers, Alan, Bill and Walter Falk. Memorial services were held at McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home in Airdrie on Sunday September 26, 2010. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Gordon Falk, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Airdrie Funeral Home, 300 TOWERLANE DRIVE, AIRDRIE.
