Obituary of LAMB – Lloyd Frederick

January 11, 1928 – September 21, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Lloyd on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Lynne and daughter Cheryl; brother Doug (Hazel) Lamb; nephews Gerry (Perri), Marvin (Darcy); niece Carolyn and many other nieces and nephews. Lloyd will be dearly missed by Lynne’s family; sisters Irene Cull and Barbara Lowther and brother and sister-in-law Ken and Mary Chugg and families. Lloyd was born in Saskatchewan where he spent many years farming in the Ponteix / Aneroid areas. Lloyd moved to Calgary where he met Lynne and they later married, and were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, the apple of her Dad’s eye. Lloyd worked for various employers during the winter months and continued farming in Saskatchewan. He enjoyed a life long interest in sports playing baseball, hockey, curling and golf. Lloyd and Lynne played bridge for many years and organized the Kingsland Bridge Club. Lloyd successfully operated it for over 20 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 285 and a life time member of the B.P.O. Elks of Canada. Lloyd took great pride in his garden. The lawn and flowers were always beautiful and many people admired them. Lloyd was a wonderful husband and father and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. A Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rockyview Garden of Peace Cemetery (16 Ave and Garden Rd.
