Obituary of PATON – Archibald Arch Thomas

July 22, 1920 – September 19, 2010 Archibald “Arch” Thomas Paton passed away peacefully at Carewest Royal Park, Calgary on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Arch had had a full life, including serving his country during the Second World War as a navigator on the Lancaster, where he took part in thirty-four missions and he was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) medal. He was a great golfer and spent his retirement winters in Florida. Arch is survived by his six children; six Quigley children; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Claudia and his companion of thirty years, Rose Quigley. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. An Internment Service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery & Foundation (280 Beechwood Avenue, P.O. Box 7025 Ottawa, ON) on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
