RUDAKAS Aliza Al Frank

Obituary of RUDAKAS – Aliza Al Frank

July 16, 1925 – September 19, 2010 Aliza “Al” Frank Rudakas, beloved husband of Albina of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Al was a devoted husband to Albina to whom he was married for fifty-eight years. Al lived for his family. He was a loving father to Peter (Donna), Joseph (Lia) and Debra (Rob Pupulin); grandfather to Amber (Niles Donahue), Aaron, Ryan, Bethany, Alex, Brittany, Brianna and Ben; and great-grandfather to Aurora. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony (Virginia). Al was born in Lithuania, and immigrated to Canada as a child with his parents, who homesteaded in northern Alberta. He grew up in Vimy, Boyle and Tawatinaw before moving to Windsor, Ontario where he worked for General Motors for thirty-one years. After retiring and traveling for a few years Al moved to Calgary where he has made his home for the last twenty-one years. Al loved to help others and was a great handyman. There was no job too large that he could not handle. Whether it was carpentry, masonry, electrical or painting, he could do it all. He loved his sports and enjoyed a friendly competitive game of cards. Another passion was driving and exploring Canada – from Vancouver to Halifax, from Windsor to Inuvik, he drove the entire country. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
