Obituary of VIRANI – Rashida Shiraz

May 25, 1946 – September 16, 2010 Beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the age of 64 years. Rashida fought and conquered cancer in 2001 and was proud to be a survivor! She also endured the loss of her husband but bounced back to enjoy the last 8 years of her life, with a lot of laughter, her strong religious faith and quality time with her family and friends. Rashida is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Shai, Zarah and Tahira; her son-in-law Ally; her surviving siblings, Pyarali, Roshan, Gulshan and Almas, her nieces and nephews and many other extended family members. Rashida will be remembered for her fun-loving nature, her kindness, love for dancing, devotion to her family, and for being the glue that kept her entire family together. Funeral Services will be held at the Ismaili Jamat Khana & Centre (4623 – 11th Street N.E.) on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace.
