Don was my half-brother, we shared a father John Knipleberg. I was adopted in 1945 and never knew of him until I was searching for my lost family. Although we never met in person, I longed to meet him. I am sad in many ways. Please pass on my sincere condolences to our sister and to his two children. God willing we will meet someday.

The drag racing community has lost a great man in Don “Quad Man” Knippelberg. For all the times that he watched over our kids at the top of the track. For all the times he was there to tow them back when something went wrong. For all the times he was there to cheer them on. For all the times he encouraged them to keep going and to keep doing well. On behalf of Cody and Meagan Weatherby and Steven Newman, he will always be fondly remembered. Our deepest condolences to your entire family.
