March 16, 1926 – September 14, 2010 Michelangelo Arena born in Spadola Cz Italy March 16 1926 passed away in Calgary Alberta Tuesday September 14, 2010 at age 84. Michelangelo ‘Mike’ is survived by Maria his beloved spouse of sixty-three and a half years. His children; Vittoria ‘Vicki’ (Frank) Ammirati, Rosie Decnodder, Tony Arena, Santina, Joanne, Leonard ‘Len’ Arena, Alessandro ‘Sandy’ Arena, twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his eldest son Bruno in 2006 and by his first child Rosa in 1951. Mike will like to be remembered for his optimistic view of life and his greatest saying was ‘To never give up’. We express our gratitude to all the staff of Units 23, 51, 52 and ICU at the Peter Lougheed Hospital, especially to Doctor Sharma and primary care givers for the exceptional care given to our dad.
