Obituary of FINCK – Klaus Wilhelm
March 7, 1927 – September 11, 2010
Klaus Finck, beloved husband of Erika Finck of Beiseker, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the age of 83 years.
Klaus was born on March 7, 1927 in Kiel, Germany. He was raised on the family Farm in Krokau with his brother and sister. He received his formal education in Agriculture and took over the family farm at the young age of 23 years. Klaus married the love of his life Erika on October 6, 1950. They raised five children. Klaus was a respected member of the community. He served on the Krokau town Council, volunteer fire department, board of directors of the local bank and the Agriculture Research Club. Klaus sold the family farm of four hundred years. He immigrated to Beiseker, AB in 1980, where he continued farming and was a member of the Beiseker Lions Club. Klaus loved his family and working the fields – a farmer through and through.
Besides his loving wife of sixty years, Klaus is survived by his sons, Klaus-Otto (Anke) Finck and Matthias (Ortrud) Finck; daughter Annekatrin Finck; son-in-law Jochen Stoltenberg; daughter Lena (Ken) Gratz; his brother Arnold (Renate) Finck; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Wiebke; son-in-law Klaus; sister Lena; brother-in-law Gerhard; and parents Otto and Gretchen.
