Condolences
I first met Hilda & Frank when I was waitressing in Orangeville back in 1993. We connected, struck up a great conversation & exchanged details. I visited in Calgary and had so hoped to return the favour some day here in Australia. I am so thankful that we were able to keep in contact over the years from across the seas….I loved to receive Hilda’s Christmas letters and photos & keep up to date with all the news. I was so sad to hear of Hilda’s passing and I offer my sincere thoughts to Frank as he was a part of a wonderful team that I had the privilege of meeting. I’m so glad I was given that table to wait on all those years ago!! Much love,
Jenny

Dear Frank & family,
We were so very sorry and saddened to hear of Hilda’s passing. We wish we had the ability to express words that could give some comfort for the pain you are all feeling. No words can help, but knowing that Hilda had a wonderful life and family and made an impact on so many of us, will be with us forever.

Uncle Frank, Frank, Gord, Christy & families.
As time has moved by us so quickly, we do lose touch of the important people in our lives. Not always because we want to. Family is the dearest, especially in times like these. Wish we could be there for you, since that is not possible at this time please take care of each other.
Hope to see you at Christmas.
Love from the Shelburne Esch Gang & Ivadell Pinkney

I was so shocked to hear that Hilda had left this world, we kept so in touch by email, and she always talked of her family and how much she enjoyed camping with Frank..she hadn’t been in touch too much this last couple of months but I didn’t worry as she told me not to send any email unless I heard from her as she would be going camping alot this summer. Well I did hear from her but once and of course she never mentioned her illness which was so “Hilda”.
I know wherever she is now she is likely camping like she so loved…My sincere and deepest sympathy to all of you at this time and know I will be thinking of you this Sat. God Bless you all…..Sandy
Jesus has received an angel. The sorrow that Frank, her family and friends now share is deep and I pray that the memory of her wonderful sense of humor and laughter will carry us through until we meet in heaven.
Dear Frank and Family, We wanted you to know that we are very saddened by the news of Hilda’s death. It is not possible for us to be there in Calgary for the Memorial service on Saturday but our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We can’t imagine what you all will do without Hilda as her Husband and family were so important to her. We enjoyed all the Emails that she sent our way. Please keep in touch. Hilda will live on in each of you in the days ahead as you all go back to your homes and daily routines. Hilda was a special Pinkney cousin and we will miss her. Harold and Janet (Pinkney)Speers

The first thing that came to mind as I was meditating on what Hilda has meant to me was growing up in farm life and attending a one room school (Beech Grove near Alton, Ont.) for our education. We also belonged to 4-H, Clubs, Caledon Junior Institute and travelled with friends to Nova Scotia and Sault Ste. Marie. She was a great inspiration to all. Dear Hilda, peace and joy be yours in your well earned rest. Cousin Margaret
Our sincere condolences.
