I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Kirker passed away. I remember many happy hours spent out at the cabin at Invermere. My sincere condolences to the Kirker family.

We too share the loss of Bill. Over the many years I knew him we skied many times and often with brother Jim in Louise and in the BUgaboos. Golf also was his game (a good swinger and player). Again many games played with brother Jim and myself. I might say we had a few wee drams of the best over the years. I also knew Bill as a fellow Geologist and admired his technical and business skills. A good friend and business associate. I will miss him. Bill Kirker was a very special man and his enthusiasm, sense of humor and wisdom will be dearly missed. I came to know Bill through my sister, Colleen shortly after her marriage to Bill’s son, Craig. It was always a treat to get together at family events and swap stories. Bill was a very good storyteller and his laugh was infectious. He had a genuine interest in all those around him and it was very difficult to leave any conversation without a smile on your face.
