Obituary of NIELSEN – Linda Jo

July 12, 1947 – August 28, 2010 Linda Nielsen, beloved wife of Erling M. Nielsen of Bragg Creek, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the age of 63 years. Linda was born on July 7, 1947 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She earned degrees in International Relations and Economics and immigrated to Canada in 1999 after an international career with development projects in Africa, Asia and eastern Europe. Linda and Erling were married in May 1986. In Calgary, Linda worked at St. Mary’s University College from 1999 to 2010 teaching Economics and as a Student Advisor. She also served on the board of the Ronald McDonald House. Besides her loving husband Erling, Linda is survived by her children, Sarah and Gita Nielsen; her parents and two sisters and their families. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at in the “Midlands Building” at St. Mary’s University College (14500 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
