March 29, 1928 – August 20, 2010 On Friday, August 20th, 2010, Wera von Busse passed away from this life, much to the great sadness of her family and friends. She lived her life with a rare grace and elegance that reflected her Russian heritage. Even when there were many challenges in her path, she fought quietly and tenaciously toward her goals while maintaining her commitment to respectful actions and self-carriage. Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honour can be made to your local Humane Society or to the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, in recognition of her love of animals and nature.
