Obituary of WENSRICH – Bertha

December 28, 1924 – August 18, 2010 Bertha Wensrich beloved wife of Arthur of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Bertha was born in Michigan on December 28, 1924, moving to Canada in 1928 and settling in the Vulcan area until eventually moving to Calgary. Bertha worked for Eatons and Dominion Foods and retired from Sears Canada. Upon retirement, the Wensrichs moved to British Columbia, and recently moved back to Calgary to be closer to their family. Bertha was a sweet and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will forever be in our hearts and memories. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives. Besides her loving husband Arthur, Bertha is survived by her children and their spouses, Gordon and Val Rausch, Joyce Lockhart, and Sharon and Scott Brooks; grandchildren, Mike (Lori), Patti (John), Bob (Taunya), Greg, and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Micah, Danika, Talya, Ashley, and Ryan; brother Bill Becker; and sister Eva Vorrath. At Bertha’s request, no funeral will be held. An informal gathering will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Masterpiece Evergreen (2220 – 162nd Avenue S.W.)
